CyberFirst Adventurers is a free one-day development course aimed at students who have not yet made their GCSE (National 4/5) choices (11 to 14 year olds) and their parents / guardians. The course is designed to showcase the varied roles and jobs that both exist and involve the use of technology in the workplace, to enthuse and inspire the participants into an interest in technology.
As students GCSE (National 4/5) choices are often made in conjunction with their parents / guardians, the course is designed to involve these adults too, so that they can see the benefit of students studying computer science, as well as how positive a mutual experience it can be.
The courses run on a Saturday between 10.00am and 3.30pm Each course consists of four themed modules offering interactive, hands on learning.
