Perth & Kinross Regional Jobs and Careers Fair – Thursday 1 March 2018
Building on the success of previous events which were attended by hundreds of young people and families, we are planning another Jobs and Careers Fair for next year. This special careers event for young people and their parents is being organised in partnership by Perth and Kinross Council, Skills Development Scotland (SDS) and Developing the Young Workforce (DYW).
It will be held on Thursday 1 March 2018 in the Academy of Sport and Wellbeing, Perth College UHI from 3.00 pm – 7.30 pm.
Feedback from exhibitors last year has led to us moving to an improved venue and adjusting the event times to help senior pupils attend at times when they can be accompanied by their parents and carers. This event also presents an ideal opportunity for your staff to meet employers from all the key sectors in one place so please make them aware of the event too.
The feedback from last year was really positive; with pupils finding the exhibitors to be friendly and helpful. In particular, the employers, who have increasing numbers of opportunities for school-leavers, were pleased to talk directly to young people; increasingly we are hearing about young people being offered work experience or finding a job as a result of a meeting at this event – please follow link to case studies http://dywpk.org.uk/2017/01/23/careers-event-for-pupils-and-parents/
