Throughout the year circumstances may arise which necessitate the school to be closed.  This is usually before the day starts and is normally caused by bad weather.

Should we decide to close the school before the school day starts the procedure for informing you of this is as follows:

• Using our Groupcall text messaging system
• Via our website breadalbane.pkc.sch.uk
• Via Heartland Radio and Radio Tay
• Via Perth & Kinross Council Customer Service Centre 0845 3011100 (local rate)

(Available from 08.00 hours to 18.00 hours.  However, this line may operate from 07.00 hours in exceptional circumstances)

We will update you later that day or at the latest the following morning of any further school closure or if the school is to be re-opened.  There may be occasions where the school can be opened to local children and we will inform you of this using the systems mentioned above.

Should it be necessary to close the school during school hours, we will arrange for pupils receiving school transport to depart as a priority and contact all parents/carers before releasing children from school either by Groupcall text or by telephone.

It is essential that the school office has a current phone number (preferably a mobile phone number) to allow us to contact you.  If your contact details have recently changed, please contact the office on 01887 822300 to have them updated.
