Club:DIVERSITY is one of Perth Autism Support’s Enterprise initiatives, which means it is run by some of their autistic teens in order to help them gain some soft skills and grow in confidence. However, their gaming space is open to anyone in the community to come and use and is not only for PAS service users. They have a few teens using the space on a regular basis, often travelling in from quite far-flung corners of P&K, and it is starting to become a place where teens who were previously struggling to find their tribe are now doing so over a shared love of games.
This group runs fortnightly during term time, from 1-4pm on a Saturday afternoon. Anyone age 7 up is welcome, but they do ask that young people under the age of 14 are accompanied by a participating adult. Entry is £1 for under 14s and £2 for 14 and over. They also run a small snack bar serving hot & cold drinks, crisps, chocolate, sweets & traybake.
PAS are also currently in talks with Stirling University D&D Society about arranging for one of their experienced Dungeon Masters to come in one week to run a session for them.
