Performing Arts
Welcome to the Performing Arts Department
The shared rationale of the Performing Arts department is to provide a positive and stimulating learning experience. Through the subject areas of Music, Music Technology, Drama and Mental Health, all learners have rich opportunities to be creative and to experience inspiration and enjoyment. Participating, preparing, and sharing performances will be the prominent activities for all learners. Through these activities, learners develop their skills. We are a fully inclusive department promoting the School’s visions, values and aims of “Belonging, Believing, Aspiring, Achieving”
We provide a safe and secure learning environment, as well as ensuring that all pupils feel valued and supported emotionally, mentally and physically. All pupils’ responses are valued in all lessons. In a Performing Arts learning environment, pupils’ thoughts and opinions are respected. We want all pupils to fulfil their full potential and we want to help students achieve this. We want students to enjoy Performing Arts lessons and have fun while they learn.
